The Cucalorus Film Festival announces they are accepting submissions for a new program in the annual film festival. The Works-in-Progress Category offers filmmakers who are in the final stages of editing an opportunity to showcase their films in a workshop-style setting. The festival fosters dialogue between filmmaker and audience, thereby providing critical feedback for final editing decisions. This will be an invaluable opportunity for those hoping to eventually screen their finished film in notable festivals, such as Sundance and South By Southwest, to discuss their film with a captive audience.
This new program fulfills the Festival’s mission by encouraging the production of new work and creating a broader film community. Through this new category, Cucalorus plays on the double meaning of progress - as forward-thinking and politically/socially aware films are strongly encouraged. The Works-in-Progress program is open to shorts, features, docs and experimental films. To submit your film for this program, send us a dvd with clips, a trailer or a rough cut of your film. Fill out the entry form on our website as well and send it all to:
